10 Hours in London!
Had a safe 14 hour-flight and met the nicest immigration lady; so unlike the US customs officers 😒
Gonna catch the Heathrow Express out into London and wander about for the next 9-10 hours! Will be back to update later! I think it's 1pm SG time now but only 7am here so I guess we are going for breakfast? 😂 Time for our bodies to be all confused again.
Bought the tix and heading out to Paddington Station via the Heathrow Express. About a 20mins 🚈 ride
Arrived at Paddington Station (the final stop for the Express) and went to get on the tube! We were headed to Oxford Circus first!
Decided to skip the one-day pass cause the zones were just too messy to figure out. We knew where we wanted to go so we just bought the one-destination tix priced at £4.80/pax
Omg London have the prettiest buildings 😍😍😍 We were waaaayyyy too early for any shops so we decided to walk around and find a breakfast spot!
I apologize beforehand. I'm gonna be spamming a lot of building pictures
And of course, the iconic phone booths
Chanced upon this small little cafe after quite a walk and also cause the wind was rather merciless, we decided to go in!
Very normal breakfast. Saw quite a few locals eating these too. Haha dk lah. Just anyhow walk and find one
Walked from Oxford Circus to Picadilly Circus! Weather started warming up so it was super nice to walk too!
Skipped the tube cause we wanted to see the place as we walked
AND OF COURSE 😏😏😏 BOOTS!
I went abit cray in there with Bourjois and Sleek but haul when I'm back in Boston okay.
Passed by this Gay bar AND LOOK!!! One of my favourite drag queen is performing tonight 😭 Probably the closest I'll get to her!
Walked from Picadilly Circus to this super old Algerian Coffee Store and it's located at Old Compton St. Not too far a walk and sights were pretty! It's a century old coffee place that sells beans and coffee ☕️
Super ol'school inside! I love the aroma. I can just stay in there the whole day~ We didn't buy any but I bought a latte and omg it was so lovely. I wish I have another cup now.
AND ITS REALLY ONLY £1.20 omg
Walked by this Harry Potter display and right beside it is this patisserie place called Maison Bertaux!
It was a recommended place so we went for the eclair and omg DAT CREAM. It was so soft and light and nth I've ever had before. Had some really fresh English Breakfast tea and a croissant~
Went back to Picadilly Circus station and took the tube back to West Minster station to see Big Ben! SO MANY PEOPLE 😱
And right opposite was the London Eye! No difference from SG flyer 😂 The entire area really looked like Fullerton area
Took our pictures and walked straight across St. James Park
Which lead us to Buckingham Palace!
Of cuz, picture of the Queen's guards!
I thought the crest was pretty cool. Unicorn leh!
Continued through the park and walked down Knightsbridge to get to Harrods!
Crazy crazy amount of people by this time and we didn't spend much time there tho. Just another departmental store but there's crazy amount of shopping if anyone's interested 😂
Saw a cool street artist doing sand sculpting! Look at dat dog! So life-like eh.
Left to take the tube from Knightsbridge station to Bayswater station for...........
Four Seasons DUCK! Highly recommended to us as the best duck!
I have to agree tho. It is the best duck the husband and I ever had!
Then caught the tube back to Paddington Station and boarded the Heathrow Express. We already have our bonding tix so we have to go past security and we are set to fly back to Boston!
Can't believe we combed London and most of its iconic spots in 10 hours, had breakfast, tea AND lunch, did drugstore and souvenir shopping and made it back in time!
