Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit - Surreal Light

I don't feel ready for this gorgeousness ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ I've never felt this way about a palette before. I didn't even want the first edit palette but this just makes me die.

So let's talk about the Hourglass Edit Palette - Surreal Light! It's created with the idea of the magic hour in mind - very subtle, soft-focus effect.

Well done, Hourglass. The packaging alone is 10/10. It's not plasticky and feels quite luxurious. A word I seldom use to describe makeup. Haha

The texture is almost similar to the NARS standard packaging but in better quality. It doesn't feel like it will turn sticky overtime! Slightly more weighted compared to their previous stuff.

The Hourglass is printed in gold prints and it really adds on to the luxe feelsz. ็œŸ็š„ๅพˆ็พŽ!

Also comes with a leaflet that labels & explains each product.

I'll probably use that as a guide first before experimenting~ Gonna swatch them now.

It shld be the same size as the previous edit but I don't own that, so I'm not too sure. It's the size of my palm!

Look at that. Just look at that marbling.

It comes with a Ambient Lighting Finishing Powder in Surreal Light and I believe this is new! The AL powder is meant to give u a soft, blurred-out finish on top of ur base. I already own the single pan finishing powder in Dim Light and I like to dust it lightly on top of my makeup to diffuse the entire look and give my skin a blurring effect.

This is really gorgeous omg I am swooning from the packaging to the look of the product. Anyw, it comes with a bronzer, 2 blushes - one natural and one bright, and of course, 1 highlighter. I am also pretty sure the highlight shade is new. Not 100% sure of the others but I think everything is new here.

The marbling on the product will almost give u a subtle different pick-up everytime u use it. I am so in love with it, I don't even care if the product suck balls ๐Ÿ˜‚

I tried to take the picture as true to the colors irl. As usual, the quality of this is just awesome It's so finely milled and so soft to the touch. The only one that stood out is the highlighter. Slightly grittier than the rest. It's also not as glowy as I expected, more muted down and more skin-toned. I would imagine this to create a very natural lit-from-within glow since it wouldn't appear to be sitting on top of the skin as a fairer shade.

The finishing powder swatched lighter than expected. The slight peach shade will definitely be awesome for brightening. Idk if it will make yellow bases appear pink tho ๐Ÿค”

I thought the bronze would be way to dark but it seemed pretty nice for my shade? It's not very warm or dark so I would definitely try using this on the outside areas of my face. Maybe when I wanna look healthier and less dead.

Surreal Glow looks a lot like the bronzer, doesn't it! It is this gorgeous natural peachy shade ๐Ÿ˜ Very every-day appropriate and looks like it will give you a nice healthy glow.

Surreal Effect is super different; being a total bright pink. It is very pretty tho. The leaflet says to use S. Glow first and then add a bit of S. Effects on top as a pop of color!

This thing is a work of art. It's one of the most luxurious product I think I own. From the packaging to the product itself. I haven't stop staring at it since it came in yesterday.

I love my drugstore products but I'm a true sucker for Hourglass. But to be fair, they have never really disappoint me. Haha so I'm very willing to splurge on it.

Tried the Hourglass palette for today's #fotd!

Primer: Hourglass AL Primer (Luminous Light)
Foundation: Laneige Pore Control BB Cushion (21) + Clearlast Medicated
Concealer: Maybelline Better Skin Super Stay Concealer (10)
Contour: Illamasqua Cream Pigment (Hollow) + NYX Blush Taupe
Highlight: Hourglass Edit (Surreal Light)
Blush: Hourglass Edit (Blush 1 + 2)

Brows: NYX Microbrow Pencil + Benefit Gimme Brow Fiber Gel
Mascara: L'Orรฉal Telescopic Shocking Extensions + Stila Huge Lash
Liner: KVD Tattoo Liner + Beauty People Waterproof Gel Liner

Lipstick: KVD Liquid lipstick (Lolita II)

Really liking this palette. I dab a bit of both the blushes and gently dust it on and it gives me this really pretty pink. The highlight is so natural-looking and it does make my skin look glowy and healthy! As expected, it really does look more natural than I expected cause Incandescent Strobe Light was really rather wow. So for girls who would prefer a more natural glow, this is really pretty.

The finishing powder was pretty bomb too! I own Dim Light and that can be a little dark on me sometimes but this is pretty brightening! I love using it on the pores around my nose and under my eyes.

Overall, I would say USD$80 for this palette is pretty worth it since you get a total of 5 different products. Each product comes in a decent-sized pan and I would  definitely invest in this if you wanna try out a few Hourglass products at the same time!
