LeeJiHam Vita Propolis Ampoule
Lately, I've been on a propolis-obsession. Usually, when I get obsessed with an ingredient, I find it a need to try it out in various formulations cause I'm crazy.
I knew the benefits of Propolis vaguely but never really went into it in details so I thought I'd use this current obsession to find out more about it.
It started with CNP Propolis Ampoule and I felt like it helped significantly with healing of blemishes and lessening of scarring. It only has 10% of Propolis extract so I wanted smth that has MORE.
Upon some research online, I came across this Lee JiHam's Propolis Ampoule that has 50% propolis extract!
I quickly ordered it off Qoo10 cause I'm a freak. It's expensive and pretty TINY, if I may say so. But it's an ampoule and that means a little is supposed to go a pretty long way!
Unlike what many like to claim, Propolis is NOT honey essence or honey extracts. It's actually a resin that is produced to seal, disinfect and waterproof the bees and hives
With its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, propolis can speed up healing process and research has shown that it can help with healing of burn wounds. Amazingly, it also has been found to have anti-histamine effects (reduce itching) and even has antioxidant properties.
It is said that Queen Cleopatra frequently uses propolis okay!!!
I'm really loving the effects I'm seeing from Propolis so if u have any more propolis products u like, pls send the recommendations my way!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
The ingredient list for this is highly elegant. In fact, this probably answers for the price.
Propolis extract (50%), portulaca oleracea extract, hippophae rhamnoides fruit extract, panthenol, rosa centifolia flower water, niacinamide, 1,2-hexanediol, ethyl ascorbyl ether, hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) bark/twig extract, centella asiatica extract, carbomer, arginine, spirodela polyrrhiza extract, hydroxyethylcellulose, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine
Really one of the cleaner list I've ever seen. It is highly concentrated and a little goes a long way, and let me show u at which steps I use this
Serum: CNP Propolis Ampoule
Moisturizer: mix with Lee JiHam Vita Propolis Ampoule
Ampoules are often highly concentrated and even more so compared to serum/essences. U typically mix ampoules in with another product such as a moisturizer to achieve the full benefits. A little goes a long way.
For the CNP product, even tho it's an ampoule, I find the viscosity and general feel of the product works just as well in the serum step.
However, do note that propolis is NOT hydrating. It's purpose is not to add hydration so don't expect that. It's main properties are targeted at healing ur skin barrier rather than add hydration.
If I can apply propolis at every stage, I will!! It has given me a nice clarity and it really helps heal my healing and active blemishes super quick. My skin tone is more even and less irritated. The changes are subtle but definitely visible. I'm a propolis-convert!
Just a note, propolis contain Niacinamide and it will convert to Niacin at a low pH and cause a red flush. So if u use acids, make sure to give it waiting time for ur pH to readjust back.
Also, if you're allergic to honey, salicylates, conifers and basically, bees-by-product, pls don't try lah. Idk if it will trigger ur allergies so don't take the risk!
If u go onto Qoo10, u will see a whole bunch of results when u search 'Leejiham Propolis' so I actually went with gut instincts. The one I got is the $33 one!
1. This product is $38 on Glow Receipe so anything that is super cheap and <$30 is abit suspicious to me
2. This seller has the best reviews and ships straight from Korea so I feel kinda 'safe' ordering!
So far, I've used it for about a week and my skin looks pretty great and it's my PMS week so I am pretty sure this is working lol
