Maybelline The City Mini Palette - Rooftop Bronzes / Downtown Sunrise

I first spotted these in CVS and I believe Target also has them already. Came in six different themes (if I'm not wrong) and the one missing from the pic is a mauvy-purple one.

I got two of it - Rooftop Bronzes and Downtown Sunrise. When I first saw it, I was reminded of the Smashbox Cover Shot Palettes

These! Got difference lah but quite similar, I feelz.

Anyw, I don't own those so I can't compare lol sorry.

This is Rooftop Bronze and comes in 6 shades! They are all metallic here and I do wished that mattes were involved but for the price (>$10??), cannot hiam lah. At least they included dark and light shades.

I was blown away by the quality when I first swatched it. It was damn awesome??? Went on smoothly and soooo pigmented.

1. Shimmer champagne/white gold
2. Shimmer yellow gold
3. Shimmer light warm brown
4. Wet metallic peach
5. Shimmer bronze
6. Shimmer dark chocolate brown with red specks

No. 4 is my ultimate favourite cause it looks amazing irl. No. 6 reminds me ALOT of UD Naked 3 Darkside.

Still annoyed there's no matte crease/transition shade tho??

Shades are all pretty true to pan and fall out was really minimal/close to none.

The highlights in these are damn popping. Love it. Overall, this one is really definite need and super value-for-money. I had to pair it with a transition shade from another palette but if u go for the Korean-look where they do gradient eye looks, it's not 100% necessary lah.

I tried it out in LA and loved how it blended and applied with a brush. The shades matched each other really well and I didn't even think the look through. I anyhow whack and it still looked really good, imo haha

Downtown Sunrise varied alil with matte shades but they weren't v impressive imo. Better than nth lah. It's a pretty reddish-peach palette and the light shimmers are damn nice. They look v non-impressive here tho. I would buy it just for those.

1. Matte light pale pink
2. Matte nude
3. Shimmer peachy-red
4. Shimmer light pink
5. Shimmer pink-gold duochrome
6. Matte chocolate brown

The mattes weren't as pigmented but still kinda useful imo. The nude shade is too skin-tone to use as a crease color for me so again, this has no transition shade. But it does come with a matte brow bone highlight.

The ones that stood out were the shimmer and the duochrome is VERY stunning irl. It's feels and looks super highend.

I wished the nude shade (2.) was slightly darker but definitely still can use to sweep over lids to set base and color correct alil before going in with shadows.

Overall, these are definitely worth it and even tho they still need to be mixed with other palettes, it isn't a very big deal depending on the eyelooks u go for. I'll mentioned this palette again when I use it on my eyes! Haven't tried this one out yet.
